Clean sightlines. Sharp looks.

The Specter is a high performance frame featuring all the benefits of a wrap complete with edgy, hard lines. With a flatter front and curved edges, this style provides full coverage. Thin temples fit comfortably under helmets or ear protection, making them a perfect fit for on the job or at the range.

A clean, modern tactical wrap with a low-profile look. Built for on-duty work, the range and the outdoors, and a good match for helmet and headset use.

Fits your face

The aluminum frame bends wider or narrower to fit. The nose pad adjusts separately on two axes (X and Y).

Lens options

Non Polarized, Polarized, OPz and Photochromic.

Optional: MIL-SPEC Ballistic lenses

Available as an option, not on every Specter. MIL-SPEC Ballistic versions are tested to MIL-PRF-32432A, Clause 3.8.4.1, with a fragment simulating projectile (T37).

GATORZ MIL-SPEC lens impact protection information

MILSPEC PERFORMANCE

Every GATORZ MILSPEC frame and lens combination meets the Military Specification MIL-PRF-32432A, Clause 3.8.4.1, for fragment impact protection. Each pair is engineered to withstand up to seven times more impact energy than the ANSI Z87.1+ impact standard requires. This resistance is verified with the MIL-SPEC test protocol, which uses a 0.15 caliber, 5.85 grain fragment simulating projectile (T37) travelling at 700–725 feet per second, striking the lens at a critical point.

MILSPEC

IMPACT: 0.15 caliber, 5.85 grain T37 fragment simulating projectile, 700–725 feet per second

ANSI Z87.1+ INDUSTRIAL SAFETY GLASSES

IMPACT: 1/4" steel ball, 150 feet per second

GATORZ lens comparison: standard Polarized vs OPz

Polarized vs OPz

Left: Polarized · Right: OPz

Our advanced TruRay® OPz (Optimized Polarized) lens technology is designed to reduce glare and enhance visual clarity without blocking digital screens. All of our lenses are crafted from high-quality polycarbonate, ensuring durability and impact resistance. Like standard polarized lenses, TruRay® OPz polarization filters out reflected horizontal light waves from reflective surfaces like water, roads, and snow, improving contrast, color perception, and visual sharpness while reducing eye strain — without interfering with your digital devices.

GATORZ lens comparison: Non Polarized vs Polarized

Non Polarized vs Polarized

Left: Non Polarized · Right: Polarized

Non-polarized lenses provide clear visibility of LCD/LED screens and digital dashboards, ideal for tasks like piloting or driving where an unfiltered view of reflective surfaces and precise environmental cues are crucial. They are best suited for specialized work demanding full light perception.

Our advanced TruRay® polarized lens technology is designed to reduce glare and enhance visual clarity. All of our lenses are crafted from high-quality polycarbonate material, ensuring durability and impact resistance.
