MILSPEC Ballistic SPECIFICATIONS

  • MILSPEC Ballistic Lenses Meet MIL-PRF-32432A (Clause 4.8.4 Ballistic Fragmentation Protection)
  • Compliant with ANSI/ISEA Z87.1 2015 Safety Standard
  • Impact testing to withstand two hits from a .15 caliber projectile at speeds of between 700-725 feet per second, without cracking, shattering, or dislodging.

MILSPEC PERFORMANCE

All GATORZ MILSPEC Frame and lenses combinations meet the rigorous Military Specification- MIL-PRF-32432A, clause 3.8.4.1, for ballistic impact fragmentation protection. Each pair are engineered to endure up to seven times more impact energy than required by the ANSI Z87.1+ impact standard. Theexceptional ballistic resistance of GATORZ is verified by the Department of Defense’s MIL-SPEC testing protocol, which uses a 0.15 caliber, 5.85 grain T37-shaped projectile traveling at 700-725 feet per second, striking the lenses at a critical point to ensure maximum protection.
